Las Vegas NIE Team
Susan M. Knoll has been with the Review-Journal since 2005. She is a retired high school psychology and social studies teacher with 30 years experience in the classroom and a frequent user of Newspapers In Education program in those classes. She received her undergraduate degree in history and psychology from Middlebury College and her MA in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Susan has taught all content areas of social studies curriculum. She taught Advanced Placement Psychology for 7 years as well as graded AP exams for the Educational Testing Service. She has served on a local NJ Board of Education, numerous educational and technology committees and is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Susan was also honored recently by being inducted into the Morris Hills Regional District Hall of Fame for Outstanding Teaching.
She brings a great deal of experience in education and supplemental programs to NIE here in Las Vegas. She also has the hands on experience she received from being the assistant to NIE under Libby Parker, who recently moved out of the area. Susan hopes to continue to expand the quality of the program.
Susan and her husband moved here from New Jersey in 2004. She has a son who resides back in NJ and a daughter in Boston.
